See lots of fire trucks at the I-5 overpass on Ravenna?  Not to fear – it was just a false alarm.  A gaggle of sexy helpful fire fighters told us that a metro driver found an envelope of white powder on his bus, which was empty of passengers at the time.  Turns out the white powder was harmless, although personally, we can’t quite figure out what harmless white powder would be stored in an envelope. But, hey.

The super-nice fireman on the right has a Green Lake connection: his brother owns St. Andrews Bar and Grill.  So, next time you’re watching a Sounders game over there, be sure to tell the owner that My Green Lake has a crush on his brother.  xox

I run the childcare center for the Green Lake Church (located at 6350 East Green Lake Way North) and I am writing to let you all know that I believe we are being targeted for car prowls. In the last week two of our families have had their cars broken into. Please be careful, the police tell us that there is not much we can do, maybe start a block watch? Any thoughts on this?

I have temporarily posted large yellow signs stating that cars have been broken into. I have also hired someone to watch over families as they drop off and pick up their children as a safety measure.
