Turnpike Pizza = fantastic, glorious, amazing, awesome, perfect … yup, the bee's knees

What do you think? (10 Comments) September 29, 2009 at 12:45AM

Nerds that we are, we periodically stalk Yelp for interesting tidbits about the neighborhood.

While poking around tonight, we thought we’d check up on our cheesealicious advertiser Turnpike Pizza.  Not surprisingly, they’re rockin it:

I used to live in NYC’s lower east side and turnpike definitely brought me back. – Ned F.

Everything about the pizza was fantastic.  The cheese, the sauce, the crust (and what a glorious crust it was). – Billy D.

The best pizza I’ve had in a long time. – Kiira N.

I really thought the pizza was amazing [...] The crust was awesome (thin crust) and the sauce was perfect. – Jason W.

Let’s get one thing straight: I love pizza. I’ve tasted enough slices that I like to think I know what I’m talking about.  So when I say Turnpike Pizza is the bee’s knees, then you can trust that you’ll get a good slice of pizza here. – Corey S.

Our favorite slice is (duh) The Green Lake: tomato sauce, mozzarella, artichoke hearts, garlic, and sun dried tomatoes, topped off with drizzles of pesto.

Ric tells us that The Mojave is also very popular: tomato sauce, mozzarella, bell peppers, garlic, marinated chicken, and Moma Lil’s sweet peppers.

yummmmmmmmmmm

Gee, what about the gazillion other pizza places in the area who aren't advertisers on this site? I think it's clear that this blog isn't exactly an objective news source that can be trusted or recognized for its integrity. See ya.

Awww, Neighbor, we love you too! xox

Easy there, hothead. It's the new pizza place in the neighborhood, so yeah, some of us *are* interested in hearing whether it's any good. I know this sounds crazy, but folks are — gasp — already familiar with the places that have been around for years! But hey, your weirdly misdirected indignation is adorable.
