… and, yet another car prowl victim in Green Lake

Seriously? Bad people, go away. Shoo.

I was walking aronund the lake Friday early evening and parked on the 7450 block and greenlake way and my car window got bashed in and my purse hidden under my jacket was stolen. When calling the bank to block my account the theif had already been to the bank to use my debit card but didn’t know my pin. I was wondering if the purse happens to be found if there is a main lost and found station? My new cell phone was in it, checks, my great aunts Rosary, ID and SS card. – Kathy

Sounds very similar to this incident. It might be time to bring back the fanny pack.

P.S. While there is no official lost and found in Green Lake, we are happy to pass on a message to Kathy if anyone has found a purse, a cell phone, a Rosary, or checks and identification cards containing the name “Kathy”.

Update:  Mitch tells us that there is indeed a Lost and Found at the Green Lake Community Center. Thanks Mitch!

Update, September 15: Great news from Kathy!  Yay.

I got a call from a very nice couple that reside in the Greenlake area, the gentleman was watering his garden and found my purse! Everything was in it but my checks, debit and ID, but they can’t do anything with that, it’s all closed!

    I just posted about this on another article here but my car was prowled at the Greenlake PCC parking lot on Monday, Sept. 14th in broad daylight around 5pm, with many shoppers around and I was only gone for 15 min with nothing obviously visible in my car. My theory is that whomever is doing this is watching from nearby or from another vehicle, possibly with another person who is the lookout. So far none of my things have showed up. Thanks for posting the parks and rec number, I called GLCC and the grounds keepers office but nothing has showed up. They told me that the trash is collected every day so if my stuff was put into a park trash can it's long gone now. (That's ok but I would like my glasses back.)
