Car Break-in Near Green Lake Small Craft Center This Morning

Disturbing news came across twitter today:

Tina’s pink caddy busted into @ greenlake this morning. Purse stolen.

The car was parked by the Green Lake Small Craft Center, which is located at the southwest corner of Green Lake.

A police report has been filed, but the purse (and thief) have yet to be found. If you have any information about this crime, please call the North Precinct via the non-emergency line, (206) 625-5011. Select 8 from the menu.  Crolfs would also love a heads up.

    Was this overnight or did it occur in broad daylight this morning?

    You know, I'm all for improvements to the ball fields and parks around here, but perhaps we can also work a police precinct into the Neighborhood Plan, too. Either that or I'm starting a weekly neighborhood combat training group. Me, the home schoolers, the retired, and anyone else who can crawl through a thicket of rosemary, scale a rockery, walk the inside loop in less than 60 minutes, stand in line at the GL Starbucks no matter how long, and use a cross-bow to fetch dinner from the lake.

    We're Green Lake, and we're mad (in a passive-aggressive way). And sassy. AND armed.
