Raised by wolves in the jungles of India since as far back as he ran remember, Mowgli feels more like a wolf than a human. But Shere Kahn the tiger sees a potential predator, and she wants to get rid of Mowgli before the kid is old enough to wield a gun. Mowgli’s sensible panther friend Bagheera wants to get the human to a village for safety, Mowgli’s less-than-sensible friend Baloo thinks they’ll be just fine, and a drought threatens to turn all the jungle into a battle zone. A fantastic story about coming-of-age, belonging, power, and friendship.
