We invite you to join us in solidarity with the Iranian people in their movement against dictatorship.
We will be holding a silent human chain at 7:00 PM on Friday July 17, 2009 at East Green Lake and 71st near Starbucks in green lake.
This event will coincide with Hashemi Rafsanjani’s speech (earlier) during the Friday Prayer at the University of Tehran. This is a key point in continuance of the struggle in Iran. We call upon all the supporters of the human rights, freedom, and democracy to join us in asking the world leaders and citizens not to recognize the illegitimate appointment of Ahmadinejad as President of Iran.
We recommend wearing black top or black arm band in sympathy with the families of freedom martyrs. It is recommended to wear green in support of the social and freedom movement, the Green Wave, in Iran. We will not bring any flags. Signs will be in line of Human rights and democracy for Iran is recommended.
