Sustainable Green Lake Meeting on Tuesday

What do you think? (No Comments) July 19, 2009 at 3:15PM

Come to the next Sustainable Green Lake meeting this Tuesday evening:

Tuesday, July 21
Bethany Community Church, CE Building (8023 Green Lake Dr. N)
Potluck at 6:30pm
Presentations and discussion 7:00-8:30pm

Everyone is welcome and this month you can learn all about biochar and how it can help make Seattle North America’s first Carbon Negative City. The meeting will also cover other upcoming SGL projects and happenings.

Hello Neighbors!

We hope to see you at the Next 3rd Tuesday Gathering on July 21. Learn more about amending soil and far more about the carbon negative potential of biochar from Seachar‘s Art Donnelly. How is climate change tied to our soils?  There are simple actions you can take. Bring a dish to share if you can, and we will gather at Bethany Community Church, CE Building (8023 Green Lake Dr N), 6:30 potluck, 7 – 8:30pm presentations and discussion. Please bring your own dinnerware.

And who would have predicted such lively, engaged energy about garbage! We had a dynamic learning conversation at our June Gathering with Julianne Stasch about valuing our garbage (did you know you can put dryer lint in your worm bin?) and composting it. Thank you Julianne for taking the plunge with us.
