Up the Gaels!

What do you think? (No Comments) June 3, 2009 at 4:51PM

Head to the northeast fields of Green Lake Park at 11am this Saturday to check out the Gaelic Games. Behold the two most popular spectator sports in Ireland: Gaelic football and hurling. There will be three games of each as well as clinics for new players and kids. See the flyer for slightly more information.

According to Wikipedia (so don’t quote us on this), Gaelic football is commonly referred to as “Gah” and the wooden hurling stick is called a hurley. Now you can sound cool and avoid being accused of having a sliotar for a brain. Go Gaels!
