Have you noticed all the buoys in the lake lately? This weekend is the Seattle Canoe and Kayak Club’s annual Ted Houk Regatta. The 1000 meter races ran all day today, but the fun is over by 1pm tomorrow, so head over early if you want to check it out. Here’s the schedule:
7:30am 5000m Distance Race
8:30am–1:00pm 500m Races
1:30pm–2:30pm Awards

The SCKC calendar has the race course staying up until next Sunday morning so you’ll have a chance to get out there and zip around in a rental paddle boat if you so desire. And don’t worry, you won’t be subjected to watching any kayak basketball tomorrow–this is just the only kayak/canoe photo we had on hand.
