According to the SPD Blotter, there was an armed robbery one block South of Tacos Guaymas and Nell’s last night: On June 19 at approximately 10:30 p.m. two male suspects approached the lone male victim as he walked in the 6800 block of Woodlawn Avenue NE. One of the suspects produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet. The victim surrendered his wallet, which contained cash and credit cards. The suspects then fled the scene on foot. Seattle Parks and Recreation declares summer tomorrow, just after our lengthy sunny spell has ended. The repair work is finally done so as soon as the weather cooperates, let the frolicking begin. Epilepsy Awareness Walk
Rain or not, the park will be busy tomorrow. In addition to the Shade Plaza festivities, you will likely spot lots of folks walking the loop around the lake. These fantastic people are walking for a cause: epilepsy awareness. Northwest Run/Walk for Epilepsy is the Epilepsy Foundation Northwest‘s annual epilepsy awareness walk. Now in its 6th year, the walk raises money for EFNW programs and services and increases public understanding about the disorder.
