Several Green Lake residents are reporting delays in their commutes this morning. Apparently a garage truck brought down a tree and a power pole between 83rd and 84th, affecting traffic in both directions between where Green Lake Ave N hits Aurora and 85th. From the Seattle Times: Authorities closed Aurora Avenue North between North 83rd and North 85th Street shortly after 5 a.m., diverting rush-hour traffic while Seattle City Light crews worked to repair the broken pole, Seattle police spokesman Jeff Kappel said. As of 9:25 p.m., two police cars are stopped in front of the Green Lake Library. Neighbors say they witnessed a man and a woman in a physical altercation on the corner of Latona and Green Lake Way.
