Free Show at Bathhouse Theater June 26-27

Summer’s here, and that means excellent free theater at the Bathhouse, starting tomorrow night with The Pillowman. So That's What Those Things Are Called

Yesterday a Green Lake curb bulb with rain garden lost out to a new Bitter Lake sidewalk when the Northwest District Council prioritized the top three Seattle Neighborhood Projects Fund projects. The proposed curb bulb was to be “planted” at North 76th Street and Winona Avenue North and would slow down traffic, protecting residents and visiting kiddies. From the Ballard News-Tribune: The council expressed interest in trying to complete both of the top two projects if funding allowed. Neighbors will also attempt to get funding for the curb bulb from Seattle Public Utilities. We’re rooting for you, curb bulb!

Star Party

The Seattle Astronomical Society’s monthly stargazing event is this Saturday night at 7pm. Green Lake star parties are on the north shore at a grassy area west of the Bathhouse Theater, near the fishing piers on the lake. Everyone is welcome to look through any of the instruments at whatever is in the sky that night. Wear warm clothes. Bring a friend! The Greenlake star party usually occurs on the Saturday closest to the first quarter moon, so we always have at least one celestial object in the evening sky to show you, Seattle weather permitting.
